The Bastmec 4YMB-2 Tracked Flax Harvester is a specialized harvesting machine developed for flax production. It is designed to uproot flax plants during the yellow ripening stage and lay the stalks evenly across the field for natural dew retting.

By uniformly distributing harvested flax, the machine creates optimal conditions for natural microbial fermentation, which breaks down the gums within the stalk and promotes efficient separation of the flax fiber from the woody core. Consistent retting improves downstream processing efficiency and helps produce higher-quality fiber.

The harvester is equipped with a hydraulic stepless speed control system and a crawler-type undercarriage, providing excellent traction, stability, and flotation in soft or uneven field conditions.
